1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use Smartnox:

• Google account authorization data needed to sign you in and request YouTube API access.
• YouTube account data returned by the YouTube Data API, including subscription and channel metadata needed to display your subscriptions and create playlists on your behalf.
• App preference data stored in your browser, such as selected channels, custom categories, playlist naming preferences, cached channel upload playlist IDs, and recent playlist history.
• Files you choose to import into the app for restoring prior Smartnox exports.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Authenticate you with Google.
• Read your YouTube subscriptions and related channel information.
• Create YouTube playlists in your account when you request that action.
• Remember your settings and improve app usability between sessions on the same browser.
• Allow you to export and import Smartnox data under your control.
• Maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

3. Where Data Is Stored

Based on the current Smartnox architecture, app data such as selected channels, category assignments, playlist history, cached channel metadata, and access tokens are stored locally in your browser using browser storage. Smartnox does not use an in-app account system or a dedicated customer database in this version of the product.

Your use of Google OAuth and the YouTube Data API is also subject to Google's privacy practices. Information you create in YouTube, such as playlists, is stored by Google within your Google account.

4. Sharing of Information

Smartnox does not sell your personal information.

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• With Google and YouTube as necessary to provide the requested functionality.
• With service providers or infrastructure providers if needed to host or secure the website.
• When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
• To protect the rights, safety, and security of Smartnox, its users, or the public.

5. Data Retention

Browser-stored Smartnox data remains on your device until you delete it, clear your browser storage, or use the in-app controls to remove or overwrite it. You can also revoke Smartnox access from your Google account settings at any time.

6. Your Choices

• You may stop using Smartnox at any time.
• You may revoke Google OAuth access in your Google account permissions settings.
• You may clear locally stored app data through your browser or by using Smartnox export and cache controls.
• You may contact us to request deletion of any information we actually hold outside your device, if any.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures designed to protect the service, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device and Google account secure.

8. Children's Privacy

Smartnox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Third-Party Services

Smartnox relies on Google OAuth, the YouTube Data API, and YouTube platform functionality. Your use of those services remains subject to the applicable Google and YouTube terms and privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above.
